Junk food posters-by the French team

Our latest work in the Comenius project: posters about junk food. They were exchanged in Romania in March. You can see pictures of the exchange in Valea Canepii school, pictures of French posters and posters the French team received. I'd like to thanks pupils from my 5°1 for the analyses and comments they made of the posters we got.

Endangered species

This is our common work on endangered species. Each partner chose 6 endangered species: 3 from our area or country, and 3 from other parts of the world. We have introduced those animals, their habits, but have also tried to find why they are endangered, and what is being done to protect them.

Election of the logo: final step!

As you can see on the blog, all logos are now created. There are five logos, but by the end of next week, there must be only one left! Next week, everybody will vote for their favourite logo and elect the project logo.
I really want to thank all the pupils and teachers involved for the great quality of the logos. They are all very different and very nice!

THE RULES

1) The chosen logos are:

2) We have to put letters on the logo, so that the whole school community can vote, choosing only ONE logo. The letters will be

A for Poland
B for Romania
C for France
D for Turkey
E for Latvia

3) Pupils, pupils' parents, teachers, heads, secretaries, cooks.... the whole school community involved can vote.
4) A maximum of people must vote in each school, not only teachers or pupils involved in Comenius.
5) When we check the vote, each school will have a ranking of the different logos. You will send me the whole ranking, telling who arrived first, second, third, fourth and fifth.
6) According to the rank, the logos will have points. 5 points for the first, 4 for the 2nd, 3 for the 3rd, 2 for the 4th and 1 for the fifth.
7) The logo with the greates number of points will be elected. In that way, even if every school votes first for their logo, their will be a winner anyway!

DEADLINE FOR EVERYBODY:   Friday 5th November.

See you next week for the final results! You will then find the project logo in the blog header!

Bye!

School with classes I-VIII I-VIII UNIREA, structure VALEA CÂNEPII

OUR SCHOOL

The school is situated in the countryside, 25 km from the city of Braila, in southeastern Romania.Valea Canepii City is a deprived area, only about 10% of parents are employed. There are 144 students enrolled, 36% of them are Roma, over 6% have special educational needs. Students come mainly from families with large financial problems, the only source of maintenance grants and aid are offered by the Romanian state. Therefore, particularly in the autumn, students, in particular Roma, go to work in agriculture to provide daily life.

Therefore, the school has an important role in the community. Teachers in recent years are concerned with access to support student projects.

The French partner

Hello!

We are a French school located in the glamourous area of Champagne!

Agrandir le plan

Our school, Collège Paul Langevin, is in Sainte-Savine, a small town next to Troyes. There are about 600 pupils in our school, aged 11 to 15.
Troyes is quite an old city, with a lovely town center. There are lots of churches and cathedrals in Troyes. There's also a lake nearby. If we take the train, we can reach the French capital, Paris, in 1h30!

We are really looking forward to meeting you all in November!
